Charms for Liberation: What We Did Together 💛

✨ We did it together.

MM Fam—thank you.

When I created the Charms for Liberation collection, I did it with hope, grief, and a prayer. Hope that these small gold and silver heirlooms could become something more. Grief for the continued violence our immigrant neighbors face. A prayer that beauty could still be an offering—that resistance could still shine.

Together, we raised $1,000 for Immigrant Defenders Law Center (ImmDef), an LA-based nonprofit providing pro bono legal defense for detained immigrants.

That money is already at work—for people facing an inhumane system designed to disappear them. And this only happened because of you.

What We Created

Each charm was cast in solid 14K gold or sterling silver.
Engraved with from L.A., with love – MM
Reiki-infused. Hand-finished in Los Angeles.
Designed with intention. Delivered with purpose.

The palm motif? That’s the Mexican Fan Palm—iconic to LA, but not native to it. Just like so many of us. A symbol of rootedness, survival, and quiet defiance.

The response to Charms for Liberation reminded me that beauty can be a protest.
That ritual can be a resource. That we can choose where our money flows.
$1,000 raised. 2 charms left. Let’s keep going.

Why it Matters

The stories coming out of ImmDef this summer are heartbreaking—and infuriating. Families torn apart. People criminalized simply for moving. The fundraiser may be done, but the need isn’t. I’m proud to have contributed even a small part, and I’m proud that this MM fam showed up in a big way.

There’s still a chance to carry this energy forward. One gold charm. One silver charm. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
